Your One and Only Story

by Carol Hess on April 5, 2012

You know how you hear one word and then you keep hearing it and hearing it and hearing it?  I always take that to mean, “Don’t make me repeat myself, Carol.  Sit up and pay attention!”

So that’s what I do.  I sit up and pay attention.

And the word I’m hearing everywhere the last few days is “story.”  Story, story, story.  I’m hearing lots and lots and lots about stories.  They can empower us.  Or not.  They can expand us.  Or not.  They can encourage us.  Or not.  They can lift us up.  Or not.

But there is one story we all share.  Yep, every single one of us on the planet has one story that is identical – identical as in word-for-word.

It’s a very simple story that really isn’t that difficult to discover.  And once you discover it, it isn’t that difficult to comprehend.  And once you comprehend it, it isn’t that difficult to tell it.  Heck, babies are born knowing it, understanding it, and telling it.

And the coolest thing about this story?  It’s the secret to – well – everything.  Happiness?  Check.  Abundance?  Check.  Love?  Double check.

Another cool thing about this story?  It will answer every question you’ve got about the important subjects.  Life purpose?  Yep.  Authenticity?  Yep.  Enlightenment?  Yep.

There’s only one problem with this story.  It seems to be quite a challenging story when it comes to living it.  But it’s worth the effort.  The benefits of doing so are enormous.  Miraculous.  Life-changing.

So what is this amazing story?

I call it your Soul Story.  I’m going to be talking about it more next week.  Stay tuned.

But right now I need a favor.  I’m doing some research, and you can help me out.  What comes to mind for you when you read (hear) the words Soul Story?  Please take a moment to tell me in the comments below.

Thanks.  I appreciate it. :)

The words Soul Story make me think of what I’m here to do, what my offering is in this lifetime!

To feel fully connected to my inner essence – to feel at peace to feel whole – and authentic and having the ability to see clearly the purpose of my life -what makes me feel unique.

My soul story is what I’m here to do and be. It’s my life legacy, which is to be lived in the now and not something we think about at the end of our days when the clock has wound down. Like Sandi, I think of it as an offering.

Great topic, Carol!

I like offering too. Life legacy. Love it. Glad you like the topic, Evelyn. I’m going to be writing, talking, coaching about it A LOT in the next couple of months. I think it is SO important. Thanks so much for your input, Evelyn.

Soul Story…..
It actually reminds me of an acronym I created…
Slice
Of
Ur
Life

The soul story is all the pieces and parts of our lives!

Love it, Jules! I like acronyms and wish my brain worked that way, but it doesn’t. Thanks for sharing yours (acronym and brain!) with us.
